Custom Shaft Manufacturing

In shaft manufacturing we produce the power- and motion-transmission shafts used in reducers, pumps, fans, conveyors and special machines, from technical drawings or samples. Stepped shafts, keyed shafts, splined and profiled shafts, threaded shafts and long shafts are groups we produce regularly. Where a standard shaft cannot be sourced, application-specific solutions are developed.

Turning and milling operations are planned in a single production flow: outer-diameter steps, face and centre holes, keyways, threading, grooving and, where needed, profiled machining are handled together. For long shafts, tailstock support and the clamping arrangement are considered specifically to maintain straightness and dimensional consistency. Depending on the technical requirement, machining tolerances down to ±0.01 mm are possible.

We re-manufacture worn, bent or broken shafts by dimensioning from an existing part or its mating assembly. Original functional dimensions are taken as the basis for bearing, coupling and gear seating diameters, and dimensional control is applied on critical diameters.

We carry out single-part and low-volume production in carbon and alloy steels, stainless steel and other materials as required, within maintenance, production-line and machine spare-part scope.
